[01/07/2010] Effectiveness

Effectiveness

Numerous studies suggest that manual brushes are just as effective as electric toothbrushes and ultimately, it is the way that the toothbrush is used that makes all the difference. However, most dentists agree that the electric toothbrushes can be extremely beneficial for people with limited motor skills and aid them in maintaining proper oral hygiene. When the various types of electric toothbrushes were compared to each other, it was the rotation-oscillation models that were giving the best possible results and are considered better than the other types.

[26/07/2010] Sonicare Flexcare Power Toothbrush

Our Review

This toothbrush has to be one of the most advanced toothbrushes on the open market today.

First of all, this brush takes full advantage of Philips’ patented sonic technology, which pushes water around the mouth, between the teeth and along the gum line for the most invigorating tooth brushing experience you have ever felt!

This being the Flexcare, there are three separate and different brushing modes, two of which are personalised cleaning routines. There is the Gocare routine, which is designed for when you are in a rush, and want a quick one minute clean, and the other is the Max Care, which is a three minute extended routine, which also adds massage to the end of a solid two minute routine.  The brush comers with a Pro results brush head, which is a comfort enhanced brushing system . This brush is also supplied with a UV sanitiser, which means that you can reliably clean your brush heads, no matter where you take your tooth brush. The brush heads move up to a mighty 31,000 brush strokes per minute, which should be enough to make most people’s heads spin! Another great aspect of this brush is that the battery has a great charge, and you should be able to get twenty two minute brushing routines out of one charge.

This brush comes with one deluxe travel case, the UV sanitiser, one flexcare handle, one Proresults brush head, a travel charger, one compact Proresults brush head, and additional brush head colour code rings.

This is obviously a top of the range brush, and just so you don’t forget it, this model comes with a chrome front panel. This is a great toothbrush, but expect to pay a top price for it!
